Hello everyone,
Thank you attending the second meeting of the semester for Microbiology Club and coming out to hear Dr. Mallozzi's presentation! Sorry to anyone who was locked out of the building, apparently the doors to ACBS lock automatically after 5pm, we'll try to be prepared for that next time. Sadly, due to construction at the brewery, we were unable to do the tour after all, but we'll be able to come do the tour at a later date that is yet to be determined. Be sure to give Vee your liability form for the future. Upcoming events: Microbiology T-Shirt Design Contest Using Custom Ink (Click me!), make a shirt design and submit the URL of your t-shirt design to this google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1okfzVIap5zSBJO7KmgrwUtAMUYeCOlttPphwXake_gE/edit?usp=sharing All designs are due by March 11th! This is a great way to leave your mark on the club. All T-shirt designs must say some variation of UA Micro Club 2018-2019 on them as we'll wear these shirts to the Regional Conference in April. Our next official meeting will be March 21st with our guest speaker, Dr. Betsy Arnold. She'll be talking about her research on fungus and give a tour of the herbarium on campus. The day after, March 22nd is the tour of TPD Crime Lab, more details will be given at a later time. Two activity events that are TBD: Painting with bacteria and the kimchi workshop. The Chipotle percentage night is also TBD until we get official confirmation from Chipotle. Be sure to follow us on Instagram (@uamicrobiologyclub) or Facebook (Click me too!)! We also set up a Group Me (UA Microbiology Club).
