The University of Arizona Microbiology Club is an organization comprised of students and affiliated academic members that come together to promote interest in microbiology and all related fields including pathology, immunology, virology, mycology, parasitology and bacteriology. The aim of the organization is to not only spread the knowledge and interest in microbiology, but to also provide members with special opportunities and knowledge of scholarships, research opportunities, and field experience.

How to Become a Club Member:To maintain official club membership, students will have to do or complete the following:
· Pay dues ($10.00) by the end of the second meeting of each semester. DISCLAIMER: dues are different this semester due to COVID · Attend at least four club meetings per semester, at least two outside events, and 1 volunteering event through the Micro Club. For those who cannot meet during regularly scheduled club meetings due to class scheduling conflicts, a snap shot of your class schedule (without student ID included) or formal work schedule should be provided to the club Secretary. Additionally, you will need to provide written commentary and feedback on at least four of the posted meeting minutes that will be sent to students via the club listserv. · Obtain ASM Regional Chapter (Region 7) membership. Regional membership is free of charge for University of Arizona students. · Register as a member of the Microbiology Club on the UA's InvolveUA website: https://arizona.collegiatelink.net |
